World Series of Poker is an annual series of events which are participated in by poker players in Las Vegas. Created by Benny Binion the casino tycoon, the World Series of Poker tournament began in the 1970s and has 58 individual events with Texas Hold 'em being the favourite of many players. One of the most lucrative gaming tournaments throughout the globe, the winner of the tournament leaves with a cash bonanza and a famed bracelet. Stu Ungar and Johnny Moss are the only two players to have won three times in the World Series of Poker event, whilst four players (Moss, Ungar, Doyle Bronson and Johnny Chan) have won back-to-back tournaments. The most successful poker player in the poker World Series event is Phil Hellmuth from Wisconsin, with 11 bracelets won at the World Series of Poker bracelets. Jonathan Duhamel won the World Series of Poker in 2010, the first time the title has gone to a Canadian.
