American and European roulette wheels

Two variants of a roulette wheel are used - the European roulette wheel and the American roulette wheel. The major difference between both roulette wheels is that there are single and double zeros on the American roulette wheel, whilst there is only one zero panel on a European roulette wheel. Something else to consider is that if playing on an American roulette wheel the numbers which are opposite each other pair together. It has been proven therefore that the European roulette wheel is statistically more favourable to the punter than an American roulette wheel does. Whilst there have been many attempts made to triumph against the roulette wheel, such as trying to use laser scanning equipment to predict where the ball would land, none of these ruses were successful away from the short term.
